Learn how to register a new account, create a PV installation profile, and connect your Solar Cube device to your account and PV profile.

Quick device configuration process overview

1. Registration

Create a Solar ID account through the Solar Cube portal and confirm sign-in using the one-time password sent to your email.

Complete the installation form in the PV Profile section and save your hardware configuration details.

3. Device Connection

Generate a one-time token and activate your Solar Cube device to connect it to your user account.

Step 1. Register a New User

  1. Go to https://portal.solarcube.io.
  2. Select Log in with Solar ID.
  3. Click No account? Create one to create a new account.
  4. Enter the required information: email address and username.
  5. A one-time password will be sent to the provided email address to confirm sign-in.
  6. After successful sign-in confirmation, your account will be activated.
Tip: If the one-time password email does not appear in your inbox, also check your Spam or Promotions folder.

Step 2. Choose a Plan

After signing in, go to the Upgrade Plan section.

Here you can adjust the set of features to your needs and activate a monthly subscription for the following plans:

STD

A plan for users who need essential features supporting PV installation management.

ECO

A plan for users who use dynamic electricity purchase prices.

PRO

An extended plan for users who expect a broader feature set and more advanced capabilities.

Step 3. Create a PV Installation Profile

  1. Go to the PV Profile section.
  2. Complete the PV installation configuration form.
  3. Enter all required hardware and configuration details.
  4. Save the form after completing the configuration.
Important: The PV Profile must be completed correctly before attempting to connect the Solar Cube device to the user account.

Step 4. Connect the Profile to the Solar Cube Device

Prerequisites

  • The Solar Cube device must be powered on or reset within the last 3 minutes.
  • The device must be connected to the same local network that you are using to access the portal.
  • The PV inverter should also be available on the same local network.

Connect the device to the profile
  1. After completing the PV Profile form, go to the Device Token section.
  2. Make sure all prerequisites are met.
  3. Open https://solarcube.local:5443 in a new browser window or tab.
  4. Once the page loads successfully, return to the tab with portal.solarcube.io and in the Device Token section click the Generate Token button.
  5. Copy the displayed token.
  6. Go to the tab with https://solarcube.local:5443.
  7. In the One time token field, paste the copied code.
  8. Click the Activate Device button.

Common Issues

  • The https://solarcube.local:5443 page does not open – click the advanced security settings option or check whether the device is powered on and whether your computer or phone is connected to the same local network.
  • The token does not work – generate a new token and make sure the device was powered on or reset within the last 3 minutes.
  • No email with the one-time password received – check your Spam or Promotions folder.
